Former capital of the French Kingdom, the capital of Touraine has many preserved treasures waiting to be discovered. Place Plumereau in the centre of the old town is a beautiful place to begin exploring Tours, city near ACE Hotel Athée-sur-Cher. The mansions and half-timbered houses are captivating and draw you to extend your walk all the way to the monumental Saint-Gatien Cathedral. On summer evenings, don’t miss the “Renaissance Nights”, a sound and light show projected over the walls of the Musée des Beaux-Arts.
